Our Story
​Our journey begins in the lush landscapes of Eastern India, where tea blending is a cherished craft passed down through generations. Growing up in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, I was enveloped by the warmth of my extended family and, most memorably, by my grandmother, Smt. Sosti. She was a nurturer, always attuned to nature’s gifts and their healing powers. Her home garden, brimming with ginger, turmeric, tulsi, and the enchanting butterfly pea flower, felt like a living treasure chest. Each ingredient had a “superpower,” and from those roots, Enchanted Teas was born.
One of my most vivid memories is watching her steep butterfly pea flowers, the water turning a mesmerizing cobalt blue, only to shift to purple with a squeeze of lemon. As a child, it felt like pure magic. Years later, I learned the potent health benefits of butterfly pea flower—antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, cognitive support—and realized my grandmother’s timeless wisdom was the soul of Enchanted Teas.

At Enchanted Teas, we see tea as an experience—an invitation to pause, connect with nature, and nourish both body and mind. Our mission is to create luxurious blends that delight the senses while honoring sustainability and social impact. We source only top-tier ingredients from India, China, and Peru, including our Lakadong turmeric from Jaintia Hills—grown by empowered women farmers under the guidance of Padma Shri awardee Trinity Saioo.

We also take pride in eco-friendly packaging, using reusable boxes with hand-painted Indian art so you can treasure each box long after your tea is gone. Every one of our five signature blends carries the spirit of my grandmother’s remedies and my passion for tea, whether you start your day with our zesty “Glow Tonic” or wind down with the soothing “Evening Lullaby.” And this holiday season, our limited-edition advent calendar with 12 unique flavors is the perfect way to revel in the festive magic over 24 days.

Welcome to Enchanted Teas! I’m Rini Choudhury, and I'd love to share the enchanting tale behind our journey. Growing up in a quaint town in Eastern India, I was immersed in the art of tea blending—a treasured tradition woven into our everyday life. My grandmother’s kitchen was a magical haven, filled with the heady aromas of freshly plucked herbs and ancient family recipes offering a wealth of wellness benefits.

Though I pursued a career in electronics and communications engineering, my heart yearned for a deeper bond with nature. A transformative trip to South Africa stirred my soul as I explored wild terrains and felt an unshakable connection to the earth. Later, moving to Seattle, WA, rekindled my passion for herbal teas. The emerald forests, misty rains, and moss-draped pines echoed the lush greenery of my childhood, transporting me back to the wonder I felt plucking herbs with my grandmother. In these evergreens, I found the same solace and sense of belonging that had nurtured me for years.
Enchanted Teas was born from this heartfelt fusion of heritage, health, and luxury. Our blends are lovingly handcrafted with the finest ingredients from India, China, and Peru, promising a delightful retreat in every sip. Rooted in my grandmother’s caring rituals, Enchanted Teas is proud to be a small, women-owned business that pays that care forward. We donate a portion of profits and make monthly gifts to Treehouse, supporting their mission to invest in young people in foster care — through stable housing, education, mentorship, and stronger transitions to adulthood.
